I am pleased to inform you that a virtual Patriotic Exemplification of the Knights of Columbus is scheduled for December 12th, 2021, a Sunday evening at 7:00 PM (Zoom meeting opens 30 minutes prior). On this her Feast day, the Exemplification will be in honor of our Lady of Guadalupe.
The cost per non-ordained candidate will remain at $50. The fee for priests and deacons for virtual exemplifications will be $25. This is a great opportunity to encourage your pastor to witness the lessons of patriotism among a group of local brother Knights. I expect the assembly to pick up the cost for these ordained brothers as I am not going to bill them. Also, a reminder that we have a few exemplification scholarships available for veterans. I simply need the Faithful Navigator to vouchsafe for the Brother Knight candidate.
Candidates desiring to join should send me - districtmaster@iowakofc.org - or Kevin McKinney - districtsecretary@iowakofc.org notice of intent. Details will then be sent on how to register for the Zoom meeting virtual exemplification.
We need completed Form 4's preferably emailed (please ensure to include the candidate’s email and phone number). Payment for remote registrants should be to be sent prior via US Post. I ask that we receive your information 48 hours prior to the exemplification to allow us to get the registration completed properly.
Our country needs informed patriotic citizens committed to Faith, Family, and Fraternity unafraid to speak up about the importance of religion in the life of our republic and willing to commit to personal & public virtue to ensure our civil society remains a vehicle of true human flourishing. Our fourth-degree ceremonial is an excellent educational tool in such an endeavor.
I encourage you as leaders in your communities to ask brother Knights to take this final step on their journey to full Knighthood and the title of Sir Knight. Likewise, I challenge assembly leadership & existing Sir Knights to participate in the virtual exemplification as observers to accompany our candidates and reinforce the patriotic principles you learned at your own exemplification. Please forward this message to your assembly & council leadership and put it into your Church Bulletins!
