Loras Council #532 Serving their Community during the Pandemic

During these challenging times due to COVID-19, local Knights of Columbus Loras Council 532 has been actively seeking opportunities to safely remain active in their parish and community. This past Sunday, April 19, several Brother Knights answered a call from Our Lady of Victory parish priest, Fr. Jake Greiner, to collect rice bowl donations as part of the Lenten season parish initiative to combat hunger. In conjunction with that effort, it was decided to also collect non-perishable food + cash donations for the local food pantries. The OLV parish and extended community came through in a BIG WAY! The event netted 2,600 pounds of food donations, which were delivered to St. Anthony's Catholic Church Food Pantry that same day. Additionally, $765 in cash/check donations for the River Bend Foodbank, which will provide 3,825 meals to benefit those within the

local Quad Cities community!
