State Council Elections
Each year as part of the Annual Meeting of the Iowa State Council, elections are conducted for the five elected state officers, the two elected positions on the state council's executive committee, and for service as an delegate to the annual meeting of the supreme council.
Per the bylaws of the state Council, a brother Knight in good standing must declare their candidacy no later than twenty (20) business days before the beginning of the Annual Business Meeting of the State Council in order to appear on the official ballot.
It has been the longstanding practice of the Iowa State Council to allow no more than double the number of delegate spots given to the Iowa State Council on the ballot, subject to any restrictions in place by the state council bylaws and the election procedures and guidelines.
