Knights join Homecoming Parade

On Saturday, October 5, 2019, the Grinnell Knights of Columbus Council 4248 participated in the Grinnell High School homecoming parade. This project promoted the Knights of Columbus Council's Persons with Intellectual Disorders PID fundraising drive and give thanks to the community for their support. The idea was the brainstorm of Brian Cranston (seated on the float).

He received support with planning and parading assistance from fellow Knights Larry Van Ersvelde, Larry Wilson, Rick Jacoby, Dave Calarco and Kenton Reed. The float was generously on loan from the Victor Knights of Columbus Council 1506. Lesson learned from the parade was that it takes 400 Tootsie Roll Midgees to make it ¾ of the way along the route!
