Iowa K of C Emergency Disaster Relief Fund

Tragedy and devastation are never easy to talk about, but right now our families, friends and neighbors throughout our State are hurting. Many have lost homes, belongings and livelihoods. There are no words that can describe these tragedies. There are no quick fixes, but there is prayer, hope and love of neighbor.

The following counties in Iowa have been issued disaster proclamations:

Adair, Allamakee, Audubon, Boone, Bremer, Buena Vista, Butler, Calhoun, Carroll, Cass, Cherokee, Clay, Crawford, Dallas, Decatur, Dickinson, Emmet, Fayette, Franklin, Fremont, Greene, Guthrie, Hamilton, Hancock, Hardin, Harrison, Howard, Humboldt, Ida, Iowa, Jasper, Kossuth, Lyon, Madison, Mahaska, Marshall, Mills, Monona, Montgomery, O’Brien, Osceola, Page, Plymouth, Pocahontas, Polk, Pottawattamie, Sac, Shelby, Sioux, Tama, Union, Webster, Winnebago, Winneshiek, Woodbury, and Wright.

The Iowa Knights of Columbus has a Disaster Relief Fund which is designed to provide a bit of help where people have had large material losses because of a NATURAL DISASTER (flood, tornado, etc.). It is ready cash to assist in everyday living expenses as people put their lives back together. This fund is available to all, giving preference to Brother Knights. It WAS NOT designed to replace insurance, give complete relief, nor take care of health needs.
