Matthew 5:16 – “Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father.”

It is important as Knights offering encouragement to Catholic men to be involved on many different levels. In order to make contact with potential members we publicize our good deeds in all the places where eligible Catholic men and their families gather, whether it be traditional or new.

The Knight Today is the longstanding publicity flagship of the Iowa State Knights of Columbus. As brother Knights you are encouraged to send in stories and pictures of your activities. Francis Schlueter is the Editor and he is doing great things to keep all Iowa Knights and their families informed. It is published three times per year. Offered as an email subscription.
The Knight Lite is the State Council’s Monthly Newsletter distributing information pertinent to council officers and program chairmen. Watch for programming ideas, ceremonial schedules, upcoming events. Grand Knights and Financial Secretaries of record receive this mailing. Interested parties may also subscribe to email distribution.
The Iowa Knights Facebook page contains articles, pictures and information interesting to Knights, Knight’s families and Catholics in general. Search for Iowa Knights of Columbus and if you find it interesting click on the “Like” button.
The Iowa Knights can be found on Twitter @IAKnights. Tweets from IAKnights will be notices from the Facebook page, Constant Contact emails, as well as short bits of information regarding Statewide Knight events.
Linked-In is for those who want professional networking as Knights with a distinct Catholic flavor to the conversation. Request to join the groups Knights of Columbus (national) and Knights of Columbus Iowa (state).

The “Knight Life” a radio show on KWKY 1150 AM highlights the men and the work of the Knights of Columbus in the dioceses of Iowa and the surrounding region. Our goal is to inform all of the Knight's activities as a family friendly Catholic fraternity; and to inspire listeners with the work of individuals and councils across the region. Welcome to all with an interest in helping their fellow man, woman, child or unborn child.

Past shows are available as PodCasts with links to background material on the Iowa KC website at Knight Life

As you can see, we have something for everyone. Young – Old, Computer Savvy – Not so Computer Savvy, All of these avenues are important to keep folks informed and in helping us grow the Knights of Columbus in Iowa.
