Iowa is one of the first two states where Supreme and State Councils partnered on the purchase of an ultrasound machine (for Informed Choice Iowa City) to help pregnant women be fully
informed that it is a real person in their womb. Statistics are that 87% of all women who see their baby in a 4-D ultrasound image choose to keep their child. This effort is a vitally important
component in our pro-life efforts.
Mary’s Choice is a pregnancy counseling center that will operate next door to Planned Parenthood in Sioux City and provide women with clear answers on the options regarding their unborn child.
Mary’s Choice will offer free pregnancy testing, limited ultrasound testing, counseling, and referral services.
Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!” Deuteronomy 30:19
Birthright began in Toronto, in 1968, when Louise Summerhill determined to help women through an unplanned pregnancy.
The Toronto center quickly grew into Birthright International, the world's first international crisis pregnancy service,
which now has about 500 chapters worldwide, including 70 in Canada, 450 in the United States, and others in South Africa, Ghana, Cameroon, Nigeria and Hong Kong.
If I told you that your council could raise over $5,000 a year for the Pro-Life cause in just four hours a month, wouldn’t you be interested? How about if I told you that I had such a project already set-up and ready to go with minimal preparation? Now what if this project was also a great social event for your Knights that can involve the whole family?
Jesus, Mary and Joseph I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion.
