We are the Knights of Columbus of Iowa. Men of Catholic faith, performing good works informed by faith. We are a family friendly fraternal organization dedicated to helping men, women, children and unborn children. We want to tell you of our activities, our goals and our inspiration. In turn we hope to inspire you the listener to join us in Serving God's people to build up a Culture of Life and of Love.
If you know of a Knight helping others we want to hear about it and so do our listeners! Have an idea for an interview? Email publicity@iowakofc.org |

A tribute to Jim Chambers, past state deputy of the Iowa Knights. A man who inspired everyone he met. A man who changed many lives for the better, A man who put his emotional heart into everything he did to the point that his physical heart could not keep up and stopped beating.
Ken and Mike attend Jim's funeral and talk to some of Jim's many friends.
This Knight Life Program takes us back to our roots: recognizing the good works
of a fellow Knight. A man who put all others ahead of himself to his last day.
Jim Chambers, rest in Peace |

This week's Knight Life has a lot of emotion in it. We start with a Mass for the Ancient Order of Hibernians (otherwise known as Irish) at the Basilica in Dyersville, Iowa. We learn how the bagpipers pipe, we get to know the relationship between AOH and Knights of Columbus and some of their illustrious members who are also Knights.
Then Fr. Dennis Quint, former Knights State Chaplin drops us back into reality. A strong and sobering statement (appropriate on that day) about his concerns about the Healthcare Mandate and separation of Church and State. Mike Gaspers and state officers were given a preview of Fr. Quint's comments and Mike gave a very good explanation of the resolutions that will be before the Knights State Convention in April.
We also spoke to Joe Rameriz, State Secretary, about the convention and other activities of our order.
If you only have 3 minutes to listen, go to 15 minutes into the program and listen to Fr. Quint and Mike Gaspers as they discuss the hottest issue of the day that is testing our faith and our fortitude as Catholics.
